Yeah 5 servers right now. Combogib DM server was the first one just because that mode wasn't available for ComboGib at the time and it was easier to set up. There are so few players on there that with some QoS rules etc. it also serves as the redirect for all the other servers.
Combogib Atlanta was there mainly to give the North & South American players the option to play with better pings but instead they mostly just play with high ping on the London server. I'm unsure of the Atlanta server's future, will probably keep it up through the Winter to see if things change though.
Combogib London 2 was put up because the main ComboGib London server's host was bought out by a bigger company so there needed to be a backup in the worst case and also because the main London Combo server's CPU is too slow for New Net tickrates without reducing the max players drastically. In the long term, I don't expect to keep them both.
The normal weapons London server only gets 10+ players if the fast download server goes down, when it returns they all go back to that server. So it now runs FragNewNet with max players of 12 and has the added XV/VCTF vehicle CTF maps which are pretty cool to have for UT99. It's possible that some of the pickier players will play there when they realize it now runs new net.
I did think about putting up a Face only normal weapons server when the old one was taken offline but I was burned out on dealing with team switchers etc. and it seemed that the worst behaving players were always on that server (no offense if you played there, so did I at one time). I believe they have replaced that face only server now but it doesn't seem like anyone plays there. It is an option though, there are a good number of deck 16 only servers now that are seeming to do well. I was surprised others didn't jump at the chance to fill the gap by opening a European face only server to be honest.
