With 469 you don't have to do much messing around, I myself just use the included OpenGL with a few tweaks to make it look nicer at longer distances.
I also set mouse axis speed to 1.0(default 6.0) and ingame mouse sensitivity to 1.0 and just adjust my mouse sensitivity using mouse dpi(using 4000dpi atm, used to use as low as 1600dpi).
