    Are these real players or is this server just stealing nicks like the old combogib server how is cortez's ping lower there than London? This many players it should be like number 2 or 3 on gametracker and I've never noticed it.

      Legit question. The way to know real human players is to type !stats and that yields a list of human players present.
      Also if there are more than three players per team, chances are humans are present.

        They have it as not rated on gametracker because of the fake players, at least that is how it was last time I looked at it.

        With the v436 browser you could easily tell without entering the server as real players were listed as Registered in the ngstats column. Now, you need Xbrowser to tell without entering -- it shows a red exclamation mark if there are fake players and if you hover on that it lists the real number. Once in the server, you can also tell by looking at the F2 server info screen or by checking mapvote.

            One thing that bothers me is that new or returning players come back to UT, and the first thing they see is a poorly set up, laggy, out of date server, it's literally the worst server I've played on in a decade, even changing weapons is super buggy and delayed for multiple seconds at time.

            That server also gets decent enough traffic.

            I personally play there in the hope of admin realizing their mistake (?) and prepare better server in future.

            It's been shit for ~ 10 years so you will be waiting for a long time.

            Well, if he didn't fix it till now (despite high numbers of players every now and then) - then he won't fix it at all.

            In India we have a saying "karmanye wa dikarah te ma phaleshu kadhachan", keep on doing Karma without the expectation of result (or fruit). That is why I just hope and not expect that admin to, well, improve.

            I'll refrain myself from commenting on karma and whatnot.
