Job Description
The Immersive Technologies team is seeking an Unreal Engine Artist to join the team to help take our Unreal Engine projects to the next level. Being able to utilize high level 3D visualization software to tell GM’s story is key to marketing our wonderful products to the world. You will join a team of Visualization Designers, Modelers and Material Experts with a large array of skills. It will be crucial to harness data and represent it as best as possible within Unreal Engine. Being able to achieve realistic 3D projects that show off our vision for General Motors will help us all be excited for the future.
We are seeking candidates who are extremely visually creative, have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to follow feedback/art direction with a keen attention to detail.
Applicants must be self-motivated and have current demonstrable knowledge of UNREAL pipelines.
This position requires an employee to be onsite 1- 3 times per week.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate the best way to ingest data within Unreal Engine
Align with the expected end goal of Marketing, Design and Engineering
Create Blueprints/scripting that helps enable the desired function
Coordinate with Data Prep & Modeling specialists to ensure data is displayed as expected
Proactively ensure look & feel is up to brand standards by coordinating with aesthetic stakeholders throughout the enterprise
Help create templated projects to enable efficiencies in pipeline work

Ability to work closely with Leads and Supervisor to keep projects on track, ensuring all timelines and review dates are met. Integrating all feedback and ensuring quality is of the highest level through self-critique.
Seeks opportunities for innovation by collaborating with others on latest ideas and continuous improvement initiatives.
High level of understanding for materials and how they work throughout various software
High level of understanding for environment and lighting
React appropriately and swiftly to look & feel critiques while retaining quality
Experience, Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree preferred/equivalent industry related experience considered
2+ Experience
Blueprint knowledge a plus
