increasing the number of players

I don't know if its just my observation, but I have the impression that lately the main server has been full more often, i.e. 18/18 players are playing on it (within a certain time frame, of course).
So I have a question: is there a chance to increase the number of slots, e.g. to 20? Maybe then players would also choose larger maps.
If there is a problem with this, there was no question.

The server did have 20 or 22 slots in the past for a while, with the performance improvements in 469d and the further ones in 469e the server would be under less stress.

Also don't forget that the player numbers are broken for the combo server in the UT Server Browser, it shows 18/18 even if there are 12 players and 6 spectators. It's always worth trying your luck joining as a player even with 18/18 displayed in the ut browser.

Ive already noticed this.
Basically, when it's 18/18, I always look at the Mesh column in the second field of the Server Browser window. If there is one or more spectators, I know I can enter as a player.

I'm pretty sure at one time I tested the server with as many as 24 but with some maps it was too much for the cpu. I eventually settled on 18 players and 6 specs because this combination keeps everything running well within the limits no matter which map is running except for a couple maps that I had to remove for this reason (toy wars and foosball). Testing/upgrading the server on v469d is my next major task. Been busy with other things for a while so ut things other than the normal day to day admin tasks have been delayed. Looking forward to see what performance improvements 469d provides.
