Sadly I have no idea where i got my original disc from I certainly didn't pay for it , which is wrong I admit.
But useful info in the search for best performance , most of my computers are either mac or old laptops running Linux I bought a 500 quid mini PC to play ut99 some steam games and Rayman legends the difference with the 700 quid machine I bought originally is huge , with ut99 loading instantly.
I have tweaked some settings mostly using ai , direct mouse etc , recently turned sync off and changed my for settings , sometimes get a little tearing with v sync off.
My monitor and v card both run at 200 hz .
My issue is i can't always make out who is red or blue when there are lots of secondary fire shots going off, I need to tweak something.
So there maybe a difference if one uses the original disc and then patch?
Maybe that's the clean install effect ?
