ow you found my old thread on beyond unreal, nice
These tweaks I have provided do not have any changes that stay permanently in the game or change the settings in the game and cannot be restored. When you quit the game, all settings return to their basic settings as the game was created. Medor wrote there that it does not work for him, but he has his own version of the game, which is probably assembled from the demo version, where there were not all the textures and generally it was some kind of crap. I checked these tweaks on the original UT and everything works.
Of course, in a tweak, you can do a very large configuration in the game, starting with controls, mouse settings, through the in-game render settings and many others, where the changes are permanently saved (one line can make the game not start, so I do before I share the tweak I check many times if there is something unnecessary, which may change or break the settings in the game).
That is why, while sharing the tweak, I try not to make any permanent changes.
Most are simply changing the appearance of weapons, projectiles, effects. Only visual changes for interesting effects, so that the game looks different, not the same all the time. Of course, by using a tweak you can help yourself for better visual visibility or to have an advantage. Also from the physics side of the game I do not change, only the visual side.
I never do it for this purpose, just to get interesting new effects and to change the look of the game so that it doesn't always look the same. Playing for over 20 years and looking at one thing all the time and the same can be gently withdrawn and it's just boring.
