I noticed alot lately that some guys get extraordinary amount of points. Like i feel im having a good match capturing all flags and getting "holy shit kills"...

You're dumb really, because it says on the scoreboard: Frags (Kills) / Points :

The server's scoreboard uses a mutator called: SMARTCTF 4E : LINK :

SmartCTF is a serverside mutator to promote and reward teamplay in CTF games, instead of deathmatch. It has a special scoring system, as well as an advanced scoreboard showing various teamplay orientated statistics.

Maybe snowguy or someone else can help you with the pointsystem , i can't help with that.

btw, you could have put more effort into blurring your own nickname together with the character icon. Well, unless you dont have a problem with privacy and it was just an accident while working in paint 🙂

i never seen a message "seal" or something for myself i think, but i remember seeing " player sealed of the base" for others.
do you get that message yourself if you seal of the base?

CTF is still 90 percent DM watch the scoreboard the team with most frags almost always wins. Hell even a good runner is DMing once he got the flag unless he hasn't been spotted and the guy sealing off the base is DMing to keep flag there for the runner to cap. It's also a good defense against spawn campers.

Offcourse it is. without dm no ctf , but this is not about that. We are talking about dm-pointplayers . You get bad games because of this mtfkers jerc , thats all im saying, but you clearly don't mind 🙂

its easy to have 250-300frags on open maps like fragwhore, woot..just by defending, but then the game is over.

Yes I agree DMing and Spawn Raping is mostly pointless but can also make for good distraction while someone grabs . Defensive DMing I'm Ok with at least 1 guy should be watch a clan match those guys always have a DMer watching the doors and one in enemy base killing anything that moves.

A clanmatch is totally different ind. i played enough of them , its 5vs5 , 2-1-2 . Thats always the same defenders in place etc. Thats organised ctfing 🙂 Its hard to archieve on this server . Here its more like a 70%def 30%att.

You shouldn't care about points, just do whatever you can to make your team win.
take Sus for example, he never has a lot of points or kills but he wins matches because he only cares about winning.
By not getting a lot of points while being useful, you have easier matches because the system thinks you are a bad player

No, it's not really about whether Sus cares about points or not. He just found his "use" in this game like most of us. Sus with his no-grappling, no-bouncing style of movement with extra South American ping and slight lag is very predictable and hittable so he takes advantage of other game preferred opportunities. Grappling or bouncing favors some players, because then they are not cannon fodder and, by the way, they contribute to winning or well deserved points.

You never should care about points , if you are a real ctfer, Some of us still likes to win in a normal way.
