All fine except for
snowguy it would be best to keep the current level of obscurity
I can't understand the word obscurity. To me and may open sourcers, software is like a free speech. You obscure speech you get risk of isolating yourself (to say the best) or booed out of society (to say the worst). Not to imply one should be irresponsible with the speech though.
BTW all this charade is just to prove a point to Anthrax that ACE is (now completely) useless when closed sourced (I also told him that I could port ACE to linux, that was well held discussion :sarcasm: ). Because my learned fried snowguy has so justly noted, obscurity is the only thing holding lamers at bay and I seem to have the devil's key, who ironically demanded the opensource anti-cheat development in first place. Peace
snowguy there are far fewer developer
That is precisely why anti-cheat development must be open sourced. To that I was told that after Anthrax gets old, no longer fit for development, the cheats will take over and remaining community will fade off. Excellent, first you spend energy in obscuring which ultimately leads to isolation and then you brazenly predict final doom. Like cutting off the branch you are sitting on.
