I'm curious since i'm interest in modeling and animation the most in Unreal Tournament,
i heard about hitboxes some time ago but i'm curious what it exactly is. i saw in a video that if you are playing and aiming in UT99 you are basicly hitting on a vertical rectangle box with a seperated box as the head.
is there any way to see the hitbox in UT99?
this video seems to show an improved hitbox but there is no info on who made it.
I think default player hitbox is a cylinder, the hitbox doesn't change when you crouch for example that's why you can't duck under things in maps in vanilla UT, shots are just ignored if you hit the upper portion while a player is in a crouch state. Headshots are just hits above a certain height on the cylinder that's why you can headshot by hitting the air above the shoulders.
I remember on UK killers some players were 'waving' and it was forbidden to use a bind because the hitbox was smaller because of it. No clue if it's true.

Hey don't be mad at me I thought this guy had some kind of problem with me because of bouncing. He said a bunch of nasty shit the other day on the server even though a couple other guys were also bouncing probably busta or annoying but being an awesome cool guy I ignored it. I guess he is really mad I don't like commies but hey I grew up in the 80s so it's hard coded in my DNA.
If it doesnt have a label, it doesnt work for you does it?
