Delete some demos.
X-console 3.4.8
Never had this issue. How do you know it is Xconsole that causes it?
When I start UT, the intro runs then I press ESC. It does pause the intro and there is a slight delay before the pull-down menu titles pop up. This is on my slower computer with an older/weaker GPU. I don't remember the delay being as bad on my computer with the much more modern, albeit old by today's standards, graphics card.
Did you always have this problem with Xconsole or did the problem just now start occurring? Or maybe this is the first time you have installed it?
You might also start UT and recreate the problem then close UT and take a read through the UnrealTournament.log file and see if anything stands out.
I remember there being some references to LeagueAS stuff in the log long ago and just because I didn't like to see errors in the log I also installed the mods it was trying to reference. Can't say that this would be the cause of your issue though.
I've had so many demos in my system folder it would take like 20 seconds to load game after escaping the intro. I'm to lazy to edit my ini to turn it off lol.
omg now mine is crashing has xconsole in the list of errors

Did that happen when right clicking the player list? The author later had a testing version that mentioned some fixes for right clicking the player list. Last post on this thread:

His website where the files were seems to be down now though. Found an archive but don't know if it is 3.5.0r72 or r71. To upgrade it looks like you can just replace the XConsole.u file and add the Radiobox.u file in your System folder. Then drop the XFonts.utx file in your Textures folder to try it out if you want.
Here is one working archive:

Edit: You might need the XConsoleHelp.ini in your system folder also.
Idk what's causing the issue, but you might as well just skip intro by replacing LocalMap=CityIntro.unr
line Unrealtournament.ini with
LocalMap=UT-Logo-Map.unr
OK just copied 30gb of demos to a backup folder and then deleted them from UT system folder and it fired right up. I guess SnowGuy forgot he is the one who gave me this tip before. If your error box looks like mine delete anything with .dem and try again.
after installing the rc3 the issue went away..
Thanks guys!
