My PC Specifications

I usually just use eBay and look for something with no OS installed and boots to bios. I have picked up some decent laptops and small form factor pc's that way but for gaming I wouldn't use anything lower than an i7 or ryzen5. Awhile back you probably could have gotten something cheap at a thrift store {Charity Shop} but I would guess the owners and employees are picking that shit clean to sell on eBay lol.

If I had the money to build a brand new system, I would probably only get an i5 now considering they have at least 12 cores, anything more would be a waste of money as I don't play modern games, I don't think I even got the most out of my I7 6700k even when I was playing games like Overwatch, with a virtual windows 10 machine running, and all my dev stuff open at the same time it was not even close to being maxed out.

But yeah I definitely notice the difference even from a 6th gen 8 core I7 at 4.6ghz to a 3rd gen 4 core I5 at max boost of 3.6ghz.

I've never really been a fan of all the bright lights on computers, to the point I used black electric tape on an old PC case to block the motherboard & fan leds lights lol.

Pretty sure you have 2GB instead of 2MB of RAM, you won't get windows 8 on 2mb of ram. Turn off gore and decals if you already haven't makes a big difference for FPS.

I was gonna say I bought a Packard Bell with a 100mhz processor back when Windows 95 came out and that had 8mb of Ram. Shit was screaming fast once I upgraded to 16mb of ram and a 4gb hard drive.

Time for a new monitor with PD 65w USB-C connector 😃
Speakers are now connect with monitor and i have to connect one Usb cable to work with to monitor.
And Upgrade from fullHD to 1440p 240hz

I've "downgraded" to a 2nd gen i7 2700k(not overclocked atm as only have a stock cooler atm), the system responsiveness is so much better then the i5 3470, I wasn't expecting it to make that much difference in the regard. I do however think there was a slight problem with other pc I was using(usb would cut out for split seconds ect, and the usb3.0 ones would lag the hell out of the whole system if I had my external HD copying data, to the extend of just moving the mouse cursor could become difficult)

My new Game Room set up is nearing completion.
The whole room is smart inabled. Google talk controls the whole room.
I have my desk and made one for the kids.
Plus the closet is a build and testing station
