I've "downgraded" to a 2nd gen i7 2700k(not overclocked atm as only have a stock cooler atm), the system responsiveness is so much better then the i5 3470, I wasn't expecting it to make that much difference in the regard. I do however think there was a slight problem with other pc I was using(usb would cut out for split seconds ect, and the usb3.0 ones would lag the hell out of the whole system if I had my external HD copying data, to the extend of just moving the mouse cursor could become difficult)
