Players who deserve at least a week ban?

Eventually you are just laughing at me snowguy , not believing me , only believing yourself . Do you need a demo or what ? You say if you gonna ban them they don't gonna come back , ''isn't that good? because they suck..?''
Also for example , you are saying 'reg i had more complains from you then any other player , but what , what now , thats it , thats all ? Are you gonna do something about it ? So people like me get punished and those aassholes can do their thing? Are you gonna ban some people or not if they are really poisening your server ? You prefer to keep those players there , then losing 5or10 players who deserve to get a long ban , who the F*** cares if they come back or not rly? i don't get you sometimes. I know you want to keep UT alive , but like this? i don't know...

ESUOH, no one is laughing at you. I didn't expect to have a problem about this with you since we have already discussed all of this via email. I believe you but I've already said I don't ban for this. Yes, each time an admin intervenes they risk losing that player forever which is why it is reserved for the most egregious cases.

I only brought up reg's complaints because he himself was complaining about dm-mers. I spoke to reg via email years ago and he has been playing within the rules ever since.

Newer players find this sort of play fun. It is the only way for them to get holy shits etc. Veterans shouldn't do it but at what point should I draw the line 1 year ... 2 years etc. The skilled players should eventually get bored with this and play CTF instead. If I let new players do it then veterans should be allowed to do it back from time to time.

Hardly anyone has the time to play UT regularly forever. We all must leave from time to time and deal with real life stuff. Hopefully, by allowing the players to improve their game naturally there will still be some players left to play with when we return from our breaks.

uccello was warned, kicked, and banned for a day for team killing / team sabotage. When he returned after his ban he no longer did that so he gets to stay.

You are free to talk about players who you feel deserve a ban but that isn't going to make me ban them. The previous message was an answer for your request to have a poll on the most annoying player which I don't feel is a good thing for an administrator to sanction. Surely, you wouldn't want to be voted the most annoying player either. No one is going to want to join a forum where the first thing they see is a poll with them voted as the most annoying.

If you find someone breaking one of the rules I have listed in the link above feel free to report it. If you demo it I can act sooner but otherwise I will need to follow up on the report and catch them myself.

Get xconsole set it to record every game and forget about it until something happens. The thing with Reg is he is patrolling my guess is he was in decent clan back in the day and that's how they play defense, notice when someone on his team grabs he pushes up to center to cover it's legit CTF

Ok , We talked about it earlier and i said i will try to stay calm and play , try to make some fun , but too much players starting to change their behaviour even the better players , dont gonna post any names , so i ask myself where does this gonna stop? We just have to gonna live with it i guess..as you dont wanna do a thing about it . Yea reg defenses all game and if thats allowed and some more players start doing it the game is completly wasted. This isn't a clanwar where you are a def - mid or attacker , i thought you had to attack on this server and that constant defense wasn't allowed thats why it makes me angry. If i gonna defense they dont gonna hit the flag or cap too much , is that what we want?

Have you played against uccello? he hasn't changed a thing it just gets worse , because the only thing he has to focus on is killing people , much easier then to have to focus on a whole game with defense att , cover etc , Again you don't believe me because you say he has changed , ITS NOT , just ban him rly....

When i only have to focus on defense , im a way better player because i only have to focus on shooting them.

Players like Doc taylor etc aren't the problem , they are defending all game , but they just arent good enough to stop attackers.

Each player has his or her own motivation when playing, I don't want to police game styles as you may be accustomed to on other servers. I don't have a rule that says you must attack.

It is definitely easier to shoot players if that is what you are concentrating on especially if their interest is in dealing with the flags because their movements become somewhat more predictable. Yes, it can be annoying. There are exceptions but usually someone who does nothing but defend / dm will get bored with it and either leave the server after a couple of rounds or start doing more things involving the flags. You can already see it, even some of the most effective DM-style players have started grabbing the flag here and there.

Again, uccello was punished for team killing. If he is still doing that, demo it or report exactly that to me and I will take care of it.

So you are saying you only get banned for teamshooting all the rest is okay , is that what you are saying ? i only can say yesterday uccello and oOo sabotages your server all evening , but if thats okay. About 0 grabs after 15games , only spawnkilling , backshooting 90% of the time .

I just think im gonna stop playing ut again . i took a break for a few years . i better do it again because the server makes no sense anymore, all people who wants to play normal gets punished by those rules(no rules). You don't have good games anymore , its just no teamplay some people just wants to have a good score , this has nothing to do with TP & CTF anymore , you can make it a iDM-server than it would be normal.

He is looking into options and taking all the feedback onboard. At the end of the day we just maybe another 1 or 2 active admins in game to issue warning's or kicks to repeat offender's.
Once those chosen few are known the offenders will tend to curtail there behavior either by noticing them in game or taking heed from warnings/kicks.
