It's IG just shoot all these guys in the toe. I don't trust these analysis from stats because stats are BS. I couldn't tell you how many kills I make that should be counted as cover but aren't. Plus alot of these supposed runners are damn fine DM players just as good at not getting shot as they are at shooting.

I agree I just thought it was interesting that you could put the data through various filters I think most of it conclusions are way off but even with it being way off was still a fun thing to look at

I'll try not to show my offense that I wasn't on any of these lists 😛 I mean, besides BRUNO, who grabs more than me???

But on a serious note, I've actually been talking to snowguy recently about the possibility of building a better KPI dashboard for UT Stats. Personally I find the rankings disappointing, in that it takes the entire player's history into account. What I would like to do is have a rolling average of each player's last 100 games (which I think is far more fair than punishing a player for their most early games) and also being able to do analysis of stats for the current month or the current year. We could even have friendly competitions of who could get the most 'x' (caps, grabs, etc.) in a particular period if we had the means to do that analysis.

I'm willing to build it all out, I just need access to the data. But I would very much love to see how I, in my modern era, stack up against other players in terms of grabs and caps, I want to believe I'd be fairly high on the list.

UTNL, I fully support this proposal. I think it’s a great idea. I've been getting a lot more grabs and captures lately, so I'd be really interested to see how it works. I also think that our stats are influenced more by kills than by CTF performance, which essentially rewards spawnkillers and other unsportsmanlike players. If we put more emphasis on CTF stats rather than DM stats, it would probably encourage players to focus on playing quality CTF 🙂

Having not really coded for years other than on my phone I got AI to write a script to grab my pages and load them into Edge so AI could read them , there are of course many more efficient ways to expose the data albeit they carry some risk.

@UTNL I dont have the (old word coming ) schema for the data , AI suggested it understood where I was killed but I suspect that might be its bias towards guessing. I totally agree , I think I have improved but I cant get out of being 10,000 in the rankings maybe that's fair 🙂

@pirog13 Yes I am interested in an eval that measures my contribution to CTF in some meaningful way

BTW I think I picked up a hater today , of course wont name him , but "everyone clap that C**T Benny and kick him" personally I thought it was a compliment , this player normally canes me and is a much better player , and in fact he killed me more than I killed him , but he seemed to think something about the way I was playing was unfair or outside some hidden etiquette that I dont know about

Still maybe thats a measure of my skills improving

A player's CTF stats for the listed maps, displaying their average events per minute for each of that stat types.

First map in the list the player averages 1.10 grabs per minute, 0.28 flag pickups. 1.18 flag drops per minute, 0.13 assists per minute, 0.37 covers per minute, 0.03 seals per minute, 0.19 flag captures per minute, 0.26 flag kills per minute, 0.12 flag returns per minute.

I forgot this forum doesn't let you zoom into the images, unless you right click copy image address and paste it manually to see the fullsize image.

It's not this server stats, pug stats that are mixed with my random tests on my dev server.

Ooper Averages are definitely a cool idea. Honestly, what I'm hoping for is just live access to the SQL data in some way so I can chop it up in many different ways. My main concern right now is being able to chop it up over time. Current year vs previous year, and having a rolling average of a player's last 100 games (and ensuring they have to play 100 games before ending up on my dashboard, rather than showing in the top 10 of the rankings just because they played 2 good games).

A nice game of Capture the Flag took place this map with both teams trying hard to get flags back but only occasionally succeeding.

Blue Team however managed to succesfully cap more than Red Team with big help from FLAGtaker who capped 2.
FLAGtaker made it hard for the Red Team defenders taking the flag a total of 57 times.
Not to say that the defence was bad at all, Leela got 24 flag kills and this made attacking hard work for Blue Team.

Sealing off the base for Blue Team was some nice defence including BennyGesserit who sealed the base 0 times.
Covering the flag carrier for Blue Team mostly was SIGKILL with 12 covers.

Attacking in vain at the other end of the map was [F3@R]72Dayz=$oBeR who managed to take the Blue Team flag 20 times, but unfortunately was unable to match the 4 caps made by Blue Team.
[F3@R]72Dayz=$oBeR was also up against some heavy defence including Mustafa with 25 flag kills and Enraged_Newb with 14 flag kills.

Good game and congratulations Blue Team.
Stats player of the map was Contra.O2 with 688.431 stat points.

Case in point here - I think I am getting better , not at dodging but my aim is , on Frag I like to defend but maybe if as a team we had attacked more we might have given FlagTaker more support , that said their team were brilliant at recovering the flag just when we had almost returned it , vgg

Word of advice, don't focus too much on getting better if you are having fun, it can suck out all the enjoyment instead of the main point of having fun playing the game.

Ooper Good advice. When I started in 2022, as a bottom-of-the-barrel player, I was happy no matter what happened. Now that I'm merely average... I've somehow become an angry man regardless of the result. Funny how that works. Make fun great again!

I get annoyed at myself when I rush a shot against a better player and can see myself missing but still clicked the button

Other than that I enjoy myself now , I stopped playing 25 years ago cos I started staying up late to play , now I have plenty of time to play , I never mastered shock rifle combo but have made the effort now , so part of the fun is improving but not to the extent that I become obsessed by it I save that for my other hobbies painting wood carving red alert drone flying swimming holidays writing etc
