In case anyone wonders, the host for both the ComboGib London and NW London servers is having connectivity issues. They are currently investigating the issue.

For ComboGib you can play on the ComboGib London 2 or Atlanta servers as an alternative.

I will update the thread when more information is available.

Edit: A few players have joined Combo Atlanta, it seems not many know about London 2 yet.

Update: They have identified the cause and are working on a fix.

The host has fixed the issue and is monitoring the results.

London servers are back up 👍

Down again . yea most went to atlantaserver yesterday.

grrr, same problem as yesterday it seems 🙁 Supposedly they are fixing it again here is what they have to say:

Identified - We’ve identified the cause of this incident as a power issue and are working with our data center partner in London to restore normal connectivity as soon as possible.

Update - We are continuing to investigate this issue.

This affects the main London combogib and the Normal Weapons XV/VCTF servers again.

A couple players have gone to ComboGib London 2 and 6 or 7 players have gone to ComboGib Atlanta.

The Atlanta server doesn't feel good, for 115ping it's pretty laggy. The newnet version on there is not that great, or the tickrate is way too low for newnet.

The London servers are back up but the host hasn't said the issue is resolved yet so hang in there. Hopefully, there won't be another outage though.

Ooper The Atlanta server doesn't feel good, for 115ping it's pretty laggy. The newnet version on there is not that great, or the tickrate is way too low for newnet.

Tickrate is 65. This version did feel a little off to me in testing but I was way behind on the updates and many others were already running this version for some time so I went with it anyway. I believe there is now a newer version out, I will check it and see if it helps.

If you have a sec could you try the Combo DM -- New York server and let me know if it feels the same for you there? That server is running a much older version of the same newnet (FNN). Or by version did you mean original timtim version vs. this Ultimate newnet based version?

Just stick with zp tbh, especially with all the improvements to movement, and networking on 469.

      Ooper
Hmm, it's a tough one. Over 100 ping on zp servers with pretty much any Inet jitter you feel like you are running around unable to hit anything. Newnets feel much better in that regard, in that hits still register most of the time, but this latest version does seem to have some weird but small visual type lag when rotating view, for me anyway.

Back to the issue, the host has marked the connectivity issue as resolved. There is an upcoming scheduled network maintenance period that may cause some higher pings and/or packet loss. Just mentioning it here so if it happens anyone can find this thread and know why.

This network maintenance is scheduled for: Aug 4, 23:00 - Aug 5, 02:00 UTC

      23 days later

No word from the host yet but both the London 1 combogib server and the London NW XV/VCTF server have become unreachable. Probably the same or similar problem as before. I will update when I know more.

A few players are on the London 2 server in the mean time.

Update with info from the host:

Investigating - Our team is investigating a connectivity issue in our London data center. During this time, users may experience connection timeouts and errors for all services deployed in this data center. We will share additional updates as we have more information.

      Another update:

Update - Our team has identified the issue affecting connectivity in our London data center as an issue impacting the data center's fabric switching. We are working quickly to implement a fix, and we will provide an update as soon as the solution is in place.

However, the London 1 server seems to be back up but I'm noticing a little backlog in the server's receive queue so going by this and what the host has to say it probably isn't fixed properly yet. 🤞

The host says the issue is fixed now. 🥳
