Hey,

Made another map, this time a small map for the times only a few people play.
The Map is set in the city on a rooftop of a building. The spawn areas are opposite eachother which makes it so that teams are always set against eachother which makes interesting gameplay.

Test it (example: all files included? Bots get stuck. Map errors etc.), and give some feedback!

Looks good but who gave the bots weapons were all dead for sure now.

    jerc Spawn points are around the arena (you see in the last video). Every spawn points is located near a weapon and has acces to items such as shield-belt, armor etc.

    They idea of the map is kinda based on the joust concept where teams are spawned at the opposite base to immediate grabbing the flag. In this map the players are spawning vertical from base to base instead of per base. This allows for a mixed gameplay of mixed 'normal' spawning and 'joust' spawning. Teams are spawning opposite on each side so always confronted with each other.

    In the video you see facing the red side, looking from the blue side. Red flag base is on the right and blue flag base on the left.

    Finally tried beta1 last night with bots. Turned out to be good fun, just the right size for modern times I think. Bots performed well, didn't find any map errors. Nice job 👍

    Happy to see some spawn points added upstairs, if I'm not mistaken, in your next version because taking the right route after grabbing was difficult with all of the spawning both in front and behind you.

      snowguy BETA2 has new routes including the vent routes.
      Added a room above the flag base and move the flag up there, added a lift between the floors and a route straight into the arena from above.
      Removed on vent route, and added a junction on the other vent route to the newly upper flag room, which is only reachable from below with a translocator.

      Still need to make the upper area a little bit more pretty.
      Make it so the bots know they have to wait till the elevator doors open and get the goodies.
      Find a way so the bots use the vent routes, if it is possible (translocator in small space.)
      Fix the music so that it loops ( anyone know how to do that?)

      If anyone has suggestions, it is appreciated.

      (updated Oct 9th 2023 -> Fixed the location string problem where the upper part of the map would not give the correct location string)

        Was planning to try plastered-beta3 on the London combo server during this current map update round that I'm working on. Let me know if you have any objections to that. Not a problem if you would rather me wait for a future version.

        You can use any of my maps, no problem 🙂
