I think I remember a UT4 map that has a skate park theme but that was DM I think. I forgot to say the map looks really good.

Well, I doing what I always do....... I am making it to fancy and starting to tank the FPS and game play on mid-range rigs.

I really need to build maps on my work RIG. Every time I build on my main RIG I keep adding things and it tanks the map. Yeah, it plays great on my beast of a rig but when I play it on my work pc it doesn't play well.

Let's do this. Who wants to test this thing out? I am about halfway done, I think. If I would just stop adding things lol...

Maybe you need to try unreal engine 5 next time, because you have big rig anyway ( i dont thats why i play this game ) this is old game engine indeed.
Maybe you can add zones, im not sure but i think they use zones in this engine to increase performance. Also you can ask stuff on discord ut99 server, they know alot.

Yeah zones are great for it. How ever its one huge room and the engine takes a hit when using them in large rooms.
I will upload the map here in a few.

Ok here is the Beta, mind you there is a ton of work yet to come. All I am looking for is game play test.
I just added spawn spots for now for texting, they will be deleted and re-positioned at the end.
Any suggestions are welcome too....

Let me know if you like the Kneel sliding. If not, I can remove it.

X-Cellerator i played your map and i first notice very cool graffity then i noticed i glide? like im walking then i stop walking but i glide.
also a few rails looked like they had a little flaw

i think its funny but i think it needs something more like alternative paths, something dynamic like jump-pads? make the game-play feel congruent with skating which is also "dynamic" but i don't know, i'm not very good at coming up with idea's, i only know people like more spammy simple maps with something dynamic or new. i remember a map i played a few weeks ago on the server which had blocks that go up suddenly that push you in the air, but i don't know if you can implement that, maybe your map needs to be scaled up also if you want to add those things.

Yeah slight slide is because of the setting I have that allows you to squat and slide around like you on ice. I will wait to see if more like it or not before removing it.

EDIT
I do also plan on having Hidden jump pads that throw you up the ram in a few spots.

Ok I need this tested again please. I have added a ton more toys.
I think after this test I can run bot paths and weapon support.
