Is nuclear soup that nice looking map with all the spawns in one tiny spot? I never remember it's name.

Did you also update the server to 469d when you updated the map list?

Yeah, nuclear soup is that nice looking w00t-pad type map with the majority of spawns in that one single area. Pretty much ruined the play completely if someone camped that spawn. There is a screenshot of the map here:

Only the face server is running v469d-RC4 currently. The rest are still on v469b except the DM server which is really behind at v451. Was planning to test and update London combo after the xmas stuff is over. Didn't want to risk any possible conflicts/problems with all the extra mutators and questionably complete maps running. It really inspires confidence to see they have reached the v469d final release stage though, very happy to see this.

469e has been worked on for a while, it's just not ACE whitelisted at this stage, from what I understand 469d release is pretty much the same as rc4 but with a lot more testing hours and ued stuff I think.

I did wonder if you updated yesterday because it felt slightly different to play, but it's my stupid connection being weird for a change making me clip into things and getting stuck on players more often.

CTF-Lucky doesn't really work with combo, people gave up after nearly an hour to cap once and voted another map, single digit grabs was the max for anyone because it was such a base camp fest.

Yeah, it went similarly yesterday too. This is why most aren't so keen on the larger maps for combogib. Will probably remove this one but had to give it a try since it looked so nice.

snowguy PRoblem with CTF-Lucky is the spawnpoints.

As far as I can see it only has four spawn points. On each side two right next to the flag base.

This makes it practically impossible to cap any flag..

A little update for this thread to make everyone aware of the new maps.

In the other thread, I already mentioned that MORTIS's new map, RomperStomper, is now on the london combo server. https://eatsleeput.com/d/544-ctf-romperstomper-release

Additionally, Dr. Pikko has been busy re-making some older maps into nice new maps. A couple beta versions have already been on the server for a few weeks or so. Those have now been updated to their finished versions:

Two newly released maps by Dr. Pikko have also now been added:
CTF-{M}Impasse][
CTF-{M}Leviathan][-B1

Cool been waiting to see the Impasse map since the Checkmate map looks and plays so nice. I think Impasse is better suited to UT99 than Checkmate so it should get some play. I miss the wall dodge flag grabs on both of these maps but its a limitation of UT99 and not the maps.

Can I just say that Training Day is one of my favourite maps of all time, I go through phases where all I want to play is one specific map. It was previously Bossen who held this title. Keep those new awesome maps coming! (if people would bloody vote for them...)
