So what other maps i can work on that are popular? Any suggestions? Opel is difficult because its grey walled or i need to use other base texture. Duku already exist i think in winter version.

In the UTStats section you can sort the maps by matches played and then just look through them and choose one that you like to play and want to do. Some I would choose would be Astorial, Brickwalled, F_RIFK, ThorsT206, Grendlekeep, or Extortion. Any others in the first few pages that you have fun on are a good bet that others would also enjoy and should get played regularly during the xmas season.

We could do with a smaller version of andaction, the current version is rather large, we can only have up to 18 players and most of the map is never used because of it sheer size.

With something like this even Octoman could cap a flag.

I am reworking this one tonight. Adding the snow and so forth. I can play with his addition and add two more doors.
It will be the only place to get out of the snow and cold lol

Here is the LiandryDocks winter map.

I took all the textures out of the packs covid did and added them all in mylevel so there is only one file needed.
I also included the snow files again for the giggle of it.

@Covid_A_Swab I ended up completely starting over without your map file. Only reason was I wanted the textures embedded into the map for faster travel. I used all your textures though, great job.

I took @Nicefu suggestion added the room and two doors. Also punched a hole in the middle to let snow in through the towers. I know I said you could get warm in there. I listened, I added a fireplace to keep you warm while your in there. 🙂

Nicefu only idea i can think of is adding a nice looking christmass tree inside the new room and some presents underneath it.

if someone wants in the map ctf-xc-snowglobe there are some usable decorations they used in their skybox. maybe use it for another christmas map if it is allowed?
i think mh-purplechristmas also is a good example of good christmass map.
could get a christmass tree from any christmass map already made if it is allowed and maybe get some better higher resolution textures.

(editor crashes everytime after rebuilding) 🙂

i made this just to gather everything i can find christmass related so maybe i or somebody else can use the assets later (have not added them all yet because i have to stop now for today. (its like a testmap/work_area you could say. (choose your tree)

mh-purplechristmas uses trepack1.wsplant as decoration for Christmas wreath, its a mesh you can duplicate and it is more realistic then masked textures. dont know about performance tthough im to much noob for that. have not added that one yet either.

DM-(C)deCyberXmas][ from unrealarchive has a funny christmass ambient sound if anyone wants to use it and or likes it. Maybe for the new room in Liandrydocks?

Well maybe you guys have more knowledge of all the meshes of unreal tournament that could be used, i just play this since a few months.

Very nice done X-Cellerator, i tried in a new UT99 installation i just downloaded only it said it misses snowtex.utx
also misses a preview in map selection menu. maybe you can add 1? i Dont know how to do that.
If you want you can realease it under your name when its ready. (i dont care about mentioning my name atleast)
i dont know how this works because maybe you need to mention the original make of map? or mention Eatsleeput?

@Covid_A_Swab go ahead and grab it again. I wasn't treating this like a public release here. I figured you had the files from the other winter maps we pushed out. This was mainly just to get these in Snowguys hand.

im going crazy?? or you did it for compatibility? then i would understand, i was thinking something is wrong with my installation 🙂

anyway 1 thing i noticed is texture at walllight is wrong. and maybe nice to add ambient fire sound to fireplace? and i have found nice christmass sound for extra ambient sound in new room if you like.

Go for it if you want to make those changes. I do not think @snowguy has started the winter uploads.
Yes, I made them smaller to travel faster 🙂 doesn't change the quality. Plus, I think Ed only can handle 256 and 512. I haven't tried anything larger maybe I should.
