@Covid_A_Swab go ahead and grab it again. I wasn't treating this like a public release here. I figured you had the files from the other winter maps we pushed out. This was mainly just to get these in Snowguys hand.

X-Cellerator something went wrong somewhere, maybe i did it but the new textures are all 256x256 ??

im going crazy?? or you did it for compatibility? then i would understand, i was thinking something is wrong with my installation 🙂

anyway 1 thing i noticed is texture at walllight is wrong. and maybe nice to add ambient fire sound to fireplace? and i have found nice christmass sound for extra ambient sound in new room if you like.

Go for it if you want to make those changes. I do not think @snowguy has started the winter uploads.
Yes, I made them smaller to travel faster 🙂 doesn't change the quality. Plus, I think Ed only can handle 256 and 512. I haven't tried anything larger maybe I should.

You can go higher but it will crash for people still using D3D7 renderer. I think some of the hd textures are at least 2048x2048.

Yeah, haven't exactly started with the winter updates yet. Wanted more snow 🙂 so, messed around with the snowAt mutator setting it to spawn on playerstarts and pickups instead of flagbase but it creates a bunch of actors and makes the cpu run too high with either of those settings. Will just use it as is for now.

Going to start working on the xmas config here soon, not sure if I will finish it in time to swap to it tonight or not yet. I can always update the map as xmas approaches if you have a new version of it after I've got everything running. The room feels warm and cozy in the first video by the way 🎄 🔥

I added some more decoration in new rooms and some textures i made 512 or 1024 just to try what difference it makes,
only problem is there are still textures for instance 1 2048x2048 in MyLevel while they are not used at all, so it takes up space for nothing. If anyone knows how to fix it, please.. tell.

Well, it's because you probably added a cut while using that large texture. In the process of changing it, it doesn't change it in the outer edges. So, if a texture in my level isn't in use when you save, it will auto delete that texture. How ever if used to create a box its hidden on the outside of the box.

Try to right click on the texture in the texture box and click remove from level. Then try to delete it again.

Also, the map cannot be opened. Says file Coup is missing. I assume its the tree

maybe i need to remake the entire level and import everything again to remove texture, because it wont delete, says it is still being used on polys594.

winter10 only 1 team room has new decoration, this one is 2 sided.

Well, you did something to the room. You can't walk in it anymore. I do not see what is blocking it in ED but I will figure it out. I am thinking it's the carpet in the room. I will try to make it a texture sheet not a octagon shape.

You did add a few nice touches to the new room. Do you mind if I tweak it and let Snowguy have it, He is ready.

The files are what they are. I do not think it's so big no one will download them. with the net speeds today that doesn't prevent players like it did in the past.

EDIT* Found it you had collision radius set to 600.000009999 or whatever. I set it to 100 and bam I can get in again.
Also you broke my snow lol. I fixed that again too 🙂

Finally got all the stuff setup for xmas 🥳

Thanks to you guys x-cell, covid, and bulba for the new winter maps. And thanks to medor and buggie for the new snow in the flagbases.

Let me know when you consider your updated liandri-winter finished and I'll get it updated on the server. That room is really starting to look good and seems like it will add a nice twist to the play.

Ok @snowguy and @Covid_A_Swab

I made the few tweaks renamed it let me know if its good enough.
I fixed the trees, moved one to make it match the other side. Slowed the snow down slightly.
I did not add the snow files from the other maps Snowguy. I figure this is a dump not a public release.

Here is the version of Docks to use bud. Even put the name of the new file on it to not make a mistake on adding it.

Admin Edit: Removed download to avoid possible future mismatch errors. You will want the later version a couple posts down. If you saved an older version of the map titled CTF-LiandriDocks-SnowUT99-2023.unr it would be best to delete that one and only keep the latest version.

Hate to have bad news but there is still a reference to snow.u in this latest version. It tries to use the class snow.snowdrop when the server attempts to load the map.

Dont know how this snow thing works and the exact problem, but if its unsolvable i just remake the map from scratch and exporting every texture and brush from X-cellerator lates map upload to use in new map.

I had some problems with textures wich i could not delete. I found i had to select "remove from level" then select "delete" and then restart Ued.
Only the it got purged
Seems like Ueditor is a little buggy with removing stuff maybe?

X-Cellerator im a little confused what kind of problems you guys are trying to solve and have. i tried this map and it does not give me any error, seems to work perfect, but i did not get any error from the previous maps either.
i tried it on two UT99 installations and worked without problem on both. got another problem though
got kicked from the server.
cant connect anymore.

Guess I should have deleted all the old snow files lol. I would have caught that.
