Hi!

I usually don't mind what's being said while gaming as we all get mad from time to time...but I see some frequent players going a few steps above just rage language and excessively trolling, insulting and threatening other players.
One name that pops in my mind is "deez_nuts" and occasionally "hiii", I've just finished a few games where "deez_nuts" was in and the guy is raging all the time, calling people names, saying he wishes someone got cancer, that he's going to kill them IRL if he meets them and all sorts of general verbal abuse. I don't have any screenshots because it didn't cross my mind at the time, but I'd just like to ask if there's something that can be done about this? Other players said he's always like this and that seems even more concerning to me.

    skynet does kickvoting not work? I think we managed to kick someone some time ago but that was with only 6 players in ghe match.
    Maybe just turn of the chat. I personally dont get bothered but it might be possible to turn chat of somehow in your settings.

      It's mainly always the same player... I've talked with the guy in discord, and there's clearly either an age issue (young guy) or a mental health issue.

      I try to be patient with him, and let him know that would be much more enjoyable to play with him if he would be nice.

      Sure turning off the chat will help, but I still want to be able to chat with others. I've been pretty active the last 3 months and I've only seen one successful kick-vote in that time, I think most people just don't bother as voting almost never helps because not enough people engage in it.

      I get it, I'm also patient with him but spitting constant hate and abuse is just wrong. Nothing happens and so they continue to do it. As I'm aware the rules are clear and perhaps it would help if he got some direct warning from the admin or a temp-ban to help cool down his temper?

      You just have to feel sorry for them. The authors of such statements are just waiting for any reaction. This proves that they are trying to attract attention to themselves at all costs, because in real life they are tormented by the trauma of being underestimated and disregarded by people who had a strong influence on them in the past.

      The chat is based on IRC so there must be a mod to mute individual players but then again I'm guessing and could be totally wrong.

      Considering where these two guys from, their anger becomes understandable (at least to me).
      By the way, isn’t there a "Read Only" chat for the player?

      Since we're talking about me, it's worth understanding one thing, I insulted and will continue to insult as long as the chat is open for me or until I'm banned. Those players who stand afk and spam spawns or stand near the flag for all 20 minutes of the match, you deserve every word that I said and you play like freaks, if you girls are offended by what I told you then I’m just shocked by how gentle creatures you are

        This server welcomes all play styles. There is nothing wrong with someone standing and spawning for 20 minutes. I personally think that hopping should be illegal, but it is another play style that is accepted here. You could argue that spawning for 20 minutes is helping the CTF directive. As long as people are not outwardly cheating or idling, then it seems their play style is accepted.

        I get angry too. People have heard me rail against cheaters to the nth degree on here and I will continue to do so. But what I don't do is threaten to kill someone if I meet them in real life. I think that's where the line starts to be drawn. I would just recommend yelling at the play style and not the person, and certainly not threatening to kill them over how they're playing a 25 year old game.

          I may repeat myself again, but I want to make my point very clearly. I just sincerely hate players who all they do in the game (in order) is spawn, run under the spot and stand almost motionless and do spawnkills. The same applies to players who stand afk near the flag in groups of 2 or 3 without making a single capture in the entire game, do you think this is a normal style of play?             I basically allow free speech in the game chat. However, after reviewing the chat that this complaint was about I saw a death threat. This I cannot allow and for this reason alone you have been muted on the server.

            This sounds like you are threatening to electronically attack someone's computer or some such? Technically, you should have no way of knowing how to reach another player's computer so I expect this is just an idle threat. If you continue on this route, you will force me to just ban you from the servers completely. This is also not the way to go about getting your mute removed.

              Your comments in the chat, I was referring to, were directed to the player that did none of what you're describing, so your claims are false. I hope you learn from your mistakes and change your ways.

                Salty players (and me included sometimes), I find them funny, it is part of the game, I would also get sooo salty if you remove the bhop from the server, but I would never death threat anybody, not even in jest.

                Learn to bounce and magically you can time bouncers and frag them easier than regular runners. To another bouncer it's not any kind of advantage. Game was getting stale bouncing and boosting has given it new life.

                I just see it as bad players wanting an easier way to cap most of the time(if it ends overtime/cancer maps I'm thankful for it), it's even better if the player has a bad connection while doing it. I see the fun in it but it always feels cheap when I've capped flags doing it, and macros making it even easier to do.

                But same can be said about those stupid lodbias player skins being whitelisted by ACE, pretty much being a bright skin cheat with high lodbias.

                I see it the opposite way to me all these IG players don't wanna learn basic movement. Watch some decent weps games and see the difference in skill level. The UK IG server is dead for a reason well that and the supposed pro holdr.

                        Was in spec and RED joined. Not_MsBehavin was giving a comment as usual. I'm a bit sick and tired of this player giving comments like cheater all the time, threatening bans (?) like this player owns the server, report someone to the admin etc etc. The comment below was the last straw. WTF!!

                          If my memory serves me right, OutForBlood (that's what we're talking about) was already banned on this server for similar, persistent, bothersome and tiring insinuations. I think she likes bananas.

                          Ann0ying Agree to ignore. I don't care for him or her. The anti cheat software on the server is pretty damn good. Plus you never know what people are using for hardware. I'm 6000 miles (9654km) from the London server. Everything I use needs to be over and above, just to try to level the playing field. To throw out that accusation of cheating out, just proves inexperience. I'm embarrassed that Not MsBehavin is flying my flag.

                            I have done the same the last few months however the remarks are more insulting/disrespectful over time. I think ignoring this person doesnt help, it gives a free pass to continue because nobody adresses this player about it. I dont believe what's beiing said, so RED and this player have history?? lol 😎

                              OFB sees Red's ping is high = Cheater that's the gist of it, kind of stereotypical for NA players.

                              469D also improved dodging/movement for high pings so you can dodge more like a low ping player.

                              Fixed a bug that made the dodge timer reset duration dependent on player ping (#805, External Contribution by Deaod)

                              I had a chance to speak to Not MsBehavin alone on the London server Tues. morning at 5:15 EST. He or she said, they had done nothing wrong. I provided the quote from the console, and the response was, "unless I hear it from an admin." I'm going to keep doing it. I said, I'm just letting you know. I thought about what Jacey was saying and thought it was better to confront under the most perfect conditions, than ignore. It was just us two on the server. Unfortunately, Not MsBehavin was obstinant.

                                It was worth giving it a shot but i dont think this person will ever change otherwise the reaction would have been somewhat different. I dont think even 'hearing it from an admin' would change this players mind.

                                      Picture this... I enter the server... I'm playing alone with bots... soon enough Not_MsBehavin enters the server and tries to kick me (when I say seriously!?)!! Followed by a very nice "conversation"

                                      I was hoping MsBehavin would join the forum and conversation to take care of this. Nope, the same belligerence.

                                        Thing is it only took 50 percent to kick someone so OFB used to wait til it was her and one other player then she would kick them. I had problems with her doing it to me when ever i was in spec so I said something to the Admin and he fixed it but OFB is like a Dog checking her bowl for food she don't realize the bowl has a hole in the bottom and no one is filling it up.

                                                  Yes, I know that another way to get on the forum after getting banned is not difficult. For example, by phone, by creating a new account. It is possible that her ego will not allow her to get on here after she has already been banned, or she knows that she will be banned again, which reduces her chances of accessing the forum news, each time she reveals herself. Also, I don't know if it's true, but she used to say that she only has one hand. She lost one in some accident she was involved in, and the cause was a drunk driver. She told this story to everyone, even strangers. It's hard to tell if it's true based on her movements in the game. Overall, it doesn't change the fact that this girl is really (please excuse the colloquialism) fucked up in the head.
