It's funny, I installed this and, because I'm playing on a Mac, I followed their advice to update the GameRenderEngine to Frucore.FrucoreRenderDevice and it ended up looking like COMPLETE shit, and I have an upgraded M3 Macbook Pro so that's really shocking. OpenGL it is, I guess! I was so disappointed and was hoping for a major graphics boost!
Looked shit in what way?
OpenGL is generally the best looking colour wise.
I downloaded and installed the patch. So far it has been working flawlessly. I need to spend more time with it and report my findings.
How do I install this its not executable file?
drunken_fool
Once you download it to your comp, just unzip your pants and move everything to where you keep that stuff, replacing everything. Beforehand, make a copy of the entire UnrealTournament folder.
There is a bug with the installer not liking spaces and other stuff so it was removed for now.
You want the OldUnreal-UTPatch469e-Windows.zip package instead.
Patch is nice with all the menu changes but dx11 messed up my mouse sen and my game.
graphics a little darker too.
With dx11 the mouse feels twitchy and loose.
it is normal that different rendering causes a change in mouse behavior. If you used d3d11drv.dll before, but a different version, find it in the backup in the UT\System directory and copy it to the current version of the game. It would be good to do one more thing in UnrealTournament.ini - When you edit it, find the [D3D11Drv.D3D11RenderDevice] section and delete everything that is under it (of course only up to the next square bracket) and check the game
Have you checked to see if your fps is different on one compared to the other?
Yah fps is the same. I just noticed there is a dx9 options went back to it.
That loose feeling of the mosue was driving me crazy on dx11
Some people still use 469b because of mouse feel, I change mouse sens all the time so don't feel anything different on d3d9, opengl, vulkan, d3d11, icb11, d3d12, if I stuck to the same sens and fps limit maybe I would, but actual performance is worse on older patches.

Ooper Thanks. I downloaded and installed this morning. Runs great without any problems so far.
hey guys question any problems with the new version and ace?
No, the public releases are fine for ACE they are whitelisted, it's only the private test builds that ACE will kick you for hence one of the reasons those ones are not public, test builds are private until tested enough that they are stable for the public release.
I have it installed and i still can play on the server, no problems!
"mutate ace crosshairscale x.x" is not working on this version...
Use the crosshair scale in the normal UT HUD options, it's near the bottom, if you drag the window off to the side you can see the changes in real time.
