Hello everyone, I just want to say that the player “esdf” is very disrespectful to many players. It’s a very nice community but players like that only destroy the gaming experience.

It's hilarious, it's so funny to see him get all riled up when he's 2 caps ahead, and then get UTTERLY SILENT when he eventually loses lol

Trash talk is part of the game. IMHO, the only unacceptable disrespect is that of racial discrimination. I've seen a few other players drop some N bombs and to me, this type of rhetoric should not be tolerated. But removing trash talk from a 90s game when trash talk was basically perfected is a bit of a stretch.

And yes, you can mute particular players. Personally, I love to razz him back when he loses after being so cocky.

What you're saying would make sense if the game itself didn't discriminate against them. I wonder how many black people have played it and still do? It seems to me that not many, cause the only character they could identify with is Nali (something I associate with tattoos and pendants - sorry if anyone felt offended). But it's true that the game, originally, doesn't have a black representative.

Alright, let's try Buggie's UserMute mutator. Here is the release page for more info:

I've installed it on the London Combo server. If you open console or use tab for quick console you can then type mutate mute and it should open the following window where you can highlight a player name and click the Mute button if you no longer want to receive chat from that player. You could also make a keybind for the mutate mute command if you find yourself using it a lot.
