Covid_A_Swab So I tested it, and it kinda works but the ledge is so narrow it interferes with the gliding (if you are an inch off it stops the gliding.

So I took the opportunity to make a sort of 'slide lane'on the side, with some simple (read: ugly) textures (that need to be more pretty an fitting) to make sort of a test map.

You can see how a made it (quickly) and maybe use it in some other way.

Maybe an idea, make the water into sliding ice with strategic water holes you can slide in to? idk.. 😃

    Definitely liking what you guys are coming up with for docks-mini. Anything that improves things and/or gives extra options for the flag carrier will help this map not stall the game from being too easily defended. Also, forgot to mention how nice the snow capped mountains look 👍️

    jerc okay but if you only use the rail you will get stopped by lantern? Or should i make the rail wider so you can pass along the lantern?

      I would try it normal sized. I think maybe a quick jump with a little air control then back to walk key or crouch key might do the trick.

      Managed to get the winter mini docks on the server last night. I think it turned out really good. Looks great and the ice sliding is done well. It doesn't seem like the sliding will be overly advantageous either as you will be an easy target for all the defenders on that side of the dock. The ice across water path is cool too.

        snowguy thanks for adding it, im glad people like it and played it, found some minor errors while playing it but i could change that in a next version. 🙂

          I'm starting to feel out of sorts re doing all these maps with out permission. I am done with it and just sticking to building original maps.

            I've put the docks-mini winter map back on the server for now. It is still winter after all and I think the additions to the map help make it less of a stalemate map for combo. Haven't decided whether to run it all year or save it for xmas only yet but hopefully with it available on the server we can let the players decide.

            BillyCornFlake thanks, i'm not the original make of the Docks-mini map i just changed it to winter version and added gameplay a bit with the ice sheets and gliding stuff.

              X-Cellerator Did you ever hear from the SpaceLego guy? A lot of these mappers probably haven't even launched UT in 15 or 20 years. I knew a couple of guys in their mid 50's back in early 2000's one of which was a mapper but both probably either too old or too dead for playing UT.
